I just wanted to know how long coilovers last for a GS300? I have a 98 GS300 and I was thinking about purchasing a set of used coilovers that have been used for 15k.

 

I would think they would last many miles depending on roads and driving habits.

 

Do yourself a favor and get new ones. BC Coils offer some great ones.

 

I was thinking about getting BCs but I heard they run a little bit soft, my best option would be to save up for PBM coilovers :T

I'm not much of a tein fan to be honest. I've heard they don't slam too well. I guess its either save up for a set of PBMs or get the set of Stance GR+ coilovers that have been used for 15k

 

I think they should last at least 50-70k

 

Maybe more if you drive like I do these days.

I agree with John. Coilovers should generally not be bought used. You don't know the driving habits of the previous owner nor the exact mileage on them. 50k miles can magically become $15k with it favors a seller's position.

You buy used JP roof and truck spoilers used. Coilovers, you buy brand new.

 

I just replaced my Tein CS (V1) coilovers that had 125K miles on them no joke.... The rear passenger finally blew. Now when I took them off this weekend 2 had bushings that were smoked...

 

you live in Cali, Northeast can never get that much life outta coilovers.

Ill be suprised if a coilover can last 20k miles and still perform well.
