I have recently boosted my 98 GS and am using the AEM FIC. I cannot get the car to idle correctly and boost is almost out of the question. I have heard and feel that something must be wired wrong on the FIC because it should work, Has anyone tried this with thier boosted GS or know of something that will work for me. I didn't do the wiring myself as it is not what I do. Should the setup work...Supra built bottom end,reworked head (vvti),850 rc injectors and AEM FIC......help

 

Its NOT as simple as piggybacking the F/IC and then working 100%. It needs to be TUNED! especially for a car that AEM doesnt give a start up calibration for.

If you did not install resistors in the timming pickup wires it will not work. There is information on the IS300 forum about it, but I would just get a harnes for Boomslang.

Thanks you guys....my mechanic is telling me that I need to go standalone.......he's tried tuning the car and the result was that it doesn't idle(cuts off) and that boost is nearly impossible as well as there is no full throttle acceleration the car missfires up front....
