Default Help! Questions about upgrades

I just picked up a 02 GS400. Wow.

I had a 97 BMW 540 and got really sick of spending to just keep it going. $400 cup holder ...

I'm looking for some advise on the L-tuned stuff. I really liked the way the BMW handled ... will the L-tuned springs and shocks make much of a difference?

What about the steering kit?

I currently have the 17" rims and tires. Are the L-tuned 18"s worth the BIG investment.

How much additional HP will the new exhaust add...

Any help and/or comments will be helpful. Dealer hype is killing me...

welcome..

juts some quick answers:

1. l-tuned springs adn shocks are good improvement. add TRD sways to the mix, and you are almost there. do a search on this topic as you will get more feedback, many from ex5ers...

2. steering ecu..hmm..we have mixed feeling shere

3. l-tuned 18s are def worth the $$ if you like the wheel design..my buddy, andrew(KYLE3481 here) is selling his cus he just went work19s

4 GS exhaust is quite efficient, but aftermarket will yield ~3-8hp, if i remember correctly

If you want a suspension that will make you forget all about your 540, get a set of Bilstein PSS coilovers. Not too much more price wise than the l-tuned shocks and springs and you can adjust the height of your ride.
