Default Adding bass to the stereo

What are you guys doing for subwoofer setups in these cars? Free air sub where the factory one is in the back?

Depends on how much bass you want to add. I have two JL 12w6's with a 1400watt amp in the back of my GS. I am about to build a box for just one. Getting older, don't need as much bass.

See that was my fear. If I would of put a more powerful sub in the rear deck, it would cause rattling. I have no rattles but I did stuff a little cotton in the rear deck when I removed stock sub to help.

my rattle came from the rear deck cover and mainly on the middle seatbelt retracter which I still can get rid of, but that's when I have more bass than I need anyways...

I have a ten inch kicker comp in the rear deck where the stock subwoofer was. If I buy something like this

http://www.amazon.com/MRP-F300-Alpin...2030585&sr=8-1

would it up my bass much?

Take your time to dynamat the deck and there are no rattles. I have a 13" elemental design sub sitting in the stock location with no rattles at all.

RE AUDIO SXX15D2 15" 2000 Watt Max Sub: 1000 RMS and 2000 Watt RMS Kicker AMP. I just Built a Box and Slid it in the back of the trunk. It bumps. It rly depends on what you are going for. Do you just want that extra kick or do u wana blow the windows out of every house u pass by?

depends on the kicker. its best to go with IB style subwoofer / marine subwoofer. look for a mono amp that pushes at least 300 rms IMO. I am pushing push 400rms its is nice, i do not fully take advantage of the sub because its not meant for free-air (IB)

Kicker 10" in the rear deck, factory sub was out when I got the car, and have an old school Lanzar amp that helps make the entire deck cover shake. Need to tighten the cover down to keep from rattling around.

i got an enclosed box for 2 12" kicker comp12s. after removing the stock subwoofer and letting air in from the trunk, I can hear the bass more in my cabin than outside.
