So my radio lcd is all faded and such (typical lexus lol). I have a bunch of reward points on amazon and my other card so I can get this for around 50 bucks cost.

I really dont need navi, just something to play music and hook up a hard drive to.

Stock sub will work with an aftermarket h.u?

stock sub will not wire up to the aftermarket HU because it will only be 4 channel, not 5 channel. so you need a separate 1 channel amp for the stock sub... or rig it up somehow.

x2

I try to stay away from Pioneer because of the PICO fuse issues but if you're not going to be hooking up external amplifiers, then you should be fine.

I agree with DaygomyGS3. Go with the avh-4300dvd, especially since you say you don't need nav. It still has the module if you decide to add later. but it's a 7" screen and if you have an iPhone, it syncs with the radio and uses the navigation on the phone onto the unit.

^^^^ what they say. i go the same deck and love it. Just sucks u gonna lose your sub and cd changer. BUT u gain as usb port for flash drives or ipod/ipad/iphone cababilty. U also have a memory card slot behind the screen.

The unit its self comes with a USB drive cable but you will need to purchase a different one to be able to use a ipod/iphone with it. I actually use both cables since the adapter i purchased (sorry i dont have the part # at this time) just plugs into the usb cable that comes with the unit.

Purchased the Toyota DD kit frm L-Tuned (expensive but worth it) for a clean factory look. Am happy with it. i def recommend as do others as u can see.

I got last year's model Pioneer AVH-p4200dvd. If you're getting that unit, get the 4200dvd, probably a 50 bucks more than the 5.8 screen headunit and you will have more screen real estate. Trust me, size matters (no homo). this is my unit with aftermarket amps and subs. I paid brand new 430.00 without the accessories. Later on, I purchased the bluetooth adapter which I currently use to connect my phone for the GPS.
