Lmao, this happened to me twice!. I didn't close my hood properly, and this was after I had taken my car to the shop. They didn't install my latch the way it was originally, so in order for it to be completely closed, you had to slam it. There was no in between. I would clean the engine bay, and then rush out the house. This caused me to have a broken windshield hahaha. Oh, and I broke my grill once too.
