I took them all off, even the L – looks mysterious and very clean. I also made the whole front grill black including the L and the chrome surround.
Mercedes and BMW have badge delete options which are often found on the V12 / M5 models in Europe - Something to do with understatment?
The pearl/black chrome looks nice though I have hard time with chrome plated plastic and I think that gold plated plastic is as tacky as you can get, and looks like plastic with gold paint after a year.
I’ve never been big on consumer branding or car jewelry or understood the need for an owner to advertise the brand - I can remember that I bought a Lexus. If Lexus want free advertising space they can pay to clutter up my car with cheap plastic.
jimxo - Wow, I don't even remember what Steve quoted me! I better find out because they haven't shipped them yet!
LXOGOOD - I think the new badge looks much better
I plan to continue to use the black pearl "L" without the rest of the badges...I will keep the others as spares or if one day I chose to sell the car, I can relabel it...
Remove ALL of the badging....unless you have to remind yourself what kind of car you drive, or prove you spent the cheese for a v8(400) over a v6(300)...
I figure that if we run'em, the v8 will be revealed anyway right?
You probally could get them through Toyota or Lexus if not let me know. I can get them over here in Japan really easy. Just a matter if you want the adhesive type of the actual bolt on type. I just don't if they would line up perfect with the Lexus. Everybody over here tries to put on Lexus and removes the Toyota emblem
Curious, what kind of badging looks nice on a white car?
Is there any badging that says, GS4, or V8, its not to show off, i just think it would look dope?
I think many people will agree with me on this one..
leave the 'L' where it is.. remove the 'LEXUS' all together and leave the 'GSXXX' where it is.. or if you want it to similar to 90% of all other car makes.. move the 'GSXXX' to where the 'LEXUS' used to be...
I really don't think it is necessary to spell it out to people what kinda car I have.. the 'L' is easily recognized.
