i guess if you have been reading about how OEM is not good then go ahead and buy the B&A. no ones stopping you. save a buck or two. who know... it might be better?
I tend to agree that if the OEM's have been known to fail prematurely, then maybe aftermarkets can provide slightly better results. I took a look at mine last night and they "appear" fine (no torn rubber boot). However, that isn't enough to satisfy me as I will be ordering new ones very shortly. Most here seem to like the Moog. I see YviE seems to be going strong at 15K mi.
By the way, YviE, what manufacturer is that ball joint from? Moog?
replaced mine about 4yrs ago with OEM. driven 40k miles and still no problem. install was a breeze and not having to add any washers or anything to it.

I truly agree with your statement...but watch yourself, **** head will tell you that you're spredding rumors and that they suppose to fail and wear out quickly lmao!! To OP, go with Moog. You won't be dissapointed at all buddy!
Moog ball joints are good quality. I just replaced mine. I actually believe these are better quality than the oem ones
Moog does make good parts! Supposedly Carquest isn't using Moog anymore and I'm not sure who else is carrying them. I just changed mine this weekend though and picked up some from Napa since they had grease fittings.

Dude, your statement was that OEM replacements were NO GOOD, and aftermarket was better. and your readings and finding told you so. I ask you, PROVE YOUR STATEMENT, after all you are a car Guru as you claim correct?
I guess now that you grew a pair and have more buddies on this post which you think have your back, AGAIN..Show me that the Lexus/Toyota OEM REPLACEMENT are not good.
i know of two people who had problems, ill leave it that..like i said RUMORS...this community lacks in technical info and experience, so for you to make bold statements like that, its automatically written in stone.

I'll have to check. I have a picture of it still in the plastic wrap. I do remember that they were made in Taiwan.
I replaced my UCA's with Beck Arnley since OEM UCA's are like 200 a piece. I've driven them probably around 4,000 miles with no problems and they fit perfectly except I think a nut was a bit too large or something. I am planning on replacing my LBJ's and my Outer Tie Rods with Beck Arnley in the very near future so I'll let you guys know how that turns out. I agree with what ****-adkt is saying. I disagree with everyone saying the OEM ball joints are bad. Sure many people find themselves having to replace the ball joints at 100,000 miles. But look at the GS, it weighs around 3,600 pounds and a lot of people lower them and add heavy rims which are really wearing on the suspension. Also keep in mind that a 100,000 mile life isn't bad by any means. It usually takes around 8 years to drive that many miles and getting 8 years out of a rubber part isn't bad at all. Another point is that no one has really tested any of the after market parts up to 100,000 miles so it is kind of unfair to say they are better than OEM when they have not been tested up until the same point as the OEM's.

Hey Yakuza,
I just replaced mine with MOOG as well but the clicking is coming back. I also have not gotten an alignment yet and plan to do that asap. But I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the clicking sound again. Any thoughts?
