try rockauto, if they have it. If you are from the 49 states/federal, then it's easier to get one than it is in CA.

Not sure about NY but current regulation in the CA legislature (not sure if it has passed or not yet) mandates that ALL parts of an exhaust system will have to be dealer items (yes, that includes mufflers/midpipes/headers/etc). In the past I've had pass results (SMOG) and no performance difference with CatCo cats.

In California, you are allowed to have aftermarket exhaust systems, such as headers, cats, and mufflers. As long as it's CARB approved.

Really? How long ago was this when you bought the cat from them? As i read on their website they won't ship to CA if you order from them

It was probably about 8 years or so ago. It looks like Airtek (Catco) has exemption for the GS4 only. You can go to the ARB website to find which cars/cats have EO numbers. Keep in mind that even though a device may be "CARB" legal there needs to be an EO (Executive Order) number specific to the year, make and model of your car.

GS3 headers are the same way since they have the cat incorporated into the design.

I'll dig up the information on the new legislation to attempt to prevent ANY modification to the exhaust system. It has been in the works for the past two years and SEMA brought it up.
