Default New Member with GS300

hello CL,

i just recently bought a 98 DPW GS300 for $2500, which i think is a steal Im stuck here in ALASKA so hard to get parts... Im totally new to Lexus but all my past cars are all toyota. I currently drive a Built 84' Toyota Pickup... Hope to learn a lot from here... i will post pictures as soon as i get time off from work...

thanks for the warm welcome... i bought this GS300 from a military guy who droved it from Texas. It currently has 183KKK miles and still running strong. The previous owner for sure didn't take good care of the car because i bought it with a bad leaking valve cover gasket and a check engine light on. it threw out the code p1349 but by searching through the useful infos here i took care of it. The coil plugs were destroyed, spark plugs was filled with oil from the leaking gasket but all of that has been cured. No more leaks! thanks again CL!

Now change your lower ball joints, and timing belt & water pump ASAP!!

If previous owner didn't take care of car, which is what it sounds like, those wear items are probably way over due. And if any of them break...... bye, bye $2500 deal.

Welcome! Thats a steal right there. Just do your tune ups and fixes. 84 Toy eh? hmmm, you should see the Toy trucks here on Guam...draggers and low riders.
