Welp it happend..
If you plan to keep the car, for big infrequent maintenance like this, you think in terms of like pitstops in a race. You either stop 1 time, 2times or 3times and split your expected lifespan into those stints, you don't wait until everything is completely used up.
What's the point in waiting until 100k? Might as well swap it now and start putting miles on the new belt. If you want to put extended mileage on a particular belt, do it on the 2nd belt in 9years when you consider if you're ready to move on or you're going to keep the car for a 3nd belt.
Yeah, I'd say that had something to do with it. The pump was locked up and you were driving the car? What were you thinking?

As in other threads, yea, there's no real purpose in holding off unless you are cash strapped or just lazy.

i hear ya. Im trying to get the parts as we speak. Just wish this guy would contact me back.
If you are pulling the motor, do the 2jz swap! Motors are cheap, labor is expensive. If you are doing it yourself, even better! I'm waiting for any serious issues to do one in mine
Maybe I should say hoping?
Sakataj? Why the LS1 ?

LS1, LS2, LS3, LS6, LS7, LQ9 and L33. i don't care which just a LS. I'm in the process of sourcing one for a swap within the next 2 years (yea I'm being realistic since i already have 100 projects going on)
cheaper motor to get, cheaper upgrades, lots of NA torque and can SC or Turbo it fairly easy but right out of the box you can easily make 500-600 hp with a few minor mods. i wasn't into domestic motors till i rode in my friends civette and his v8 powered WRX. if you have a turbo motor making 600hp and a NA motor making 600hp,i would prefer a NA motor to a turbo-ed motor any-day

Well I have a good mech doing it. He's done many motor swaps. But I would think the wiring would be the killer. I would LOVE to swap a normal 2jz in. The clubnat's kit would defiantly be the next move but I can't find enough information on the 400>300 swap to make the move. Anyone reading ever done it?
