Maybe in 4-5 years, but by then, it probably won't be a 2GS. It will be a 3 or 4GS.

I do my own work. You'd be surprised that the 2000-2002 E-class Mercs are very reliable and long lasting. No timing belt to worry about either.

Great choice! Just about anything with an AMG badge is "good to go" in my book. And MB's E-series AMG offerings are classics.

I've been watching E55 prices slowly come down and am itching to pull the trigger. From my research, the 5.5L supercharged and normally aspirated AMG powertrains are generally considered to be bulletproof. It's the electronic goodies that usually go south. Break a leg!
