Default hesitation

I have a 2003 gs300 and it hesitates on take off. I have taken it to the lexus dealership but they couldn't find the problem. I was wondering if any one else had this issue.

Try replacing the MAF. I just bumped a thread not to long ago named 'Car feels sluggish' and they said that replacing the MAF has fixed the problem every time out of like 8 GS's.

If you don't want to go to that though I'd clean the TB and just clean your MAF first.

I've changed the MAF sensor but i'm still having the same problem.
This happens during normal driving.

Spark Plugs? Spark Plug Wires? Make sure that you don't have an oil leak also.. That could flood your plugs and cause it to feel sluggish.

since you have a gs300 and did all the other maintenance items. have you tried tightening the throttle cable? after a while it can have way too much slack which can cause the feeling of a "hesitation".

its free and a easy fix, its located in the back near the firewall once the engine cover is removed. it looks just like a brake wire on a bicycle. loosen the lock nut and tighten, dont let the wire pull the wheel. give it just enough slack or your car would experience high idle and itll feel like youre holding the gas down even when youre not which is not good if youre trying to brake.

since the gs300 is drive by wire the throttle cable is only used by the cruise control and when the car goes into limp mode. tightening this cable probably wont do a thing.

try running a few rounds of injector cleaner. that should help and if it doesnt its cheap stuff and it was good for your car anyways

doesnt a wire system engage by the cable sending the signal to the pedal sensor? so when u press on the gas the cable pulls then sends the signal to the ecu to open/close the butterfly?

i always thought that was the way it worked thats why i suggested tightening the wire so the feedback when pressing on the pedal will be more "responsive". Kind of like how the 430's have that little pause before it really moves.

if i remember correctly i believe that the cable can only be operated when i said and under normal driving conditions there is an electric motor inside of the TB that controls the butterfly valve.
