Default Doors won't lock when lock-button is pressed...

I just recently bought a 2001 GS300. Everything works fine but somehow when I press the lock-button...the driver door and left-rear doors won't lock. The others two doors are working perfectly. As stated I'm new to the GS300, any explanations on what may be the cause and how I can fix it? Thanks in advance.

Door lock actuators probably went bad.

Sounds like your door lock actuators went bad which is a common design failure for this car, your looking at paying about $1000 at the dealer to replace those 2 door lock actuators or you can buy the little motors on ebay and try to fix them your self.

Ahhh another I cant use the search button thread. Sorry to hear about your actuators but its a common occurence. You can lock your driver door with the key manually by inserting the key and rotaing it towards the front of the car (counter clockwise). Your alarm might set at that point but most likely not untill all the doors have locked. GL lots of DIY door actuator threads on the forum just have to use search feature
