could be some kind of short circut with a ground. ive had this problem before with audio equipment. i would hit the brakes and i would blow fuses because voltage got too low.
and i somewhat have a similar problem now. i just did big three and ive noticed that when i hit the brakes my voltage seems to go down (i have a voltage meter in my car) until i let go of brakes. but idk if its bad enough that my lights dim. will have to check out next time i drive. interested to hear what others have to say. but as the above mentioned, its probably a grounding issue. did u redo or take any of your grounds off?
Check battery bolts, charging system, battery and grounds. Had the same problem and I had few grounds lose and also my battery wasnt too good. Good Luck !
