Probably not a record BUT!
Well, as some of you may know I just bought a my first gs400, I paid little for it In my opinion but now I have to assume the car was well taken care of in the fluid department because. The car has 200k on the ticker and the owner I bought it from didnt know when the last time the Timing belt was replaced or any major maintenance for that matter but he had a 30k miles of oil change and fluid flush logs. So as soon as I got it home I noticed the cam seals leaking and immediatly went to have them replaced as well as the whole timing kit ie (belt, tensioner, idlers, water pump gaskets etc) and valve cover gaskets. When me and my uncle broke it down we found the original timing belt from day one as well as tensioner idlers and water pump. I thought dam let me look at this belt to my surprise no teeth missing but had some hellacious cracks in back strap. The water pump however showed no signs of wear on the impeller at all and was very clean but was date coded 99 it looks like. So this car must of really had a life of pampering or its a good testiment to how well things are really made from toyota.
The tensioner however was still working but was rusty as all hell.
... I just really need to get these coil-overs first.
