Default Need Help w/Tires

Hey guys, Im having an issue with my new set of wheels. I just got a set of g35 rays and they came with 235/40/19 in the front and 245/40/19 in the rears. I thought that this would be good because I wanted thicker tires to protect my wheels from potholes. I went from 19x8 and 19x9 wheels with a +38 offset to the g35 wheels (19x8 +30 & 19x8.5 +33). I originally had 245/35 on the fronts and 275/30 on the rears of my old set of wheels with no rubbing issues dropped on kyb gr2/tanabe df210. However, with this new set, I am rubbing even with the slightest turn of my steering wheel in the front. It rubs near the part of the fender closest to the door.

My question is, whats going on? It seems like it would be less likely to rub since the new front tires are not as wide as the old ones, so why are they rubbing now? I was planning on switching the front tires to the rears since the rear tires on the g35 wheels need to be replaced soon and then get some 225/35/19 fuzion zri tires.

This leads me to my next question. Is it ok to have two different sets of tires on the car? If I end up getting the fuzion zri tires, I will have them on the front wheels and bridgestone potenza re050a on the back wheels.

If it means anything, I also put the wheels on myself with the jack and tools that came with the car to change a spare tire.

So I took it to a tire shop and told them the story and they said I just needed a smaller sidewall, which I am going to deal with soon. The drive to the tire shop wasnt bad so I think I can still drive around for the time being. Anybody know if its ok to run fuzion zri in the front and bridgestone potenza in the back? I dont track or push my car hard. I just daily it to school and back and from austin to houston sometimes.

Theres also no vibrations up until 40-45 mph so Im assuming I do not need the hubcentric rings. Woot!

when you have vibrations at ANY SPEED, you NEED to fix that problem. In this case, you need inner 60.1 and outer 66.1 hub centric rings.

Well I only went up to about 45 mph since the tire shop was just down the road from my house. I didnt get a chance to take it up any faster than that lol. I guess Ill try to drive it on the freeway tomorrow and see how it handles. If theres vibrations, then Ill get the hubcentric rings. If not, then I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that do not need hubcentric rings? lol..

235/35/19? Would that get rid of the rubbing completely? Any reason why I shouldnt go with 225/35/19?

maybe be rubbing due to the brand of tire for one some brands have a taller lets say 235/45 .. that 45 might be taller on one versus another brand... check your fender liner see where its rubbing and see if it may be the difference in offset thats throwing it off also?

and with any aftermarket rim.. you more than likely need that hub centric ring because the rim is universal.. and ive seen problems later on of vibration due to only one ring missing. if it was me.. i would get those hub centric rings in the rim for your car. so you know it sits flush.
