Default Fogs only....

Well, my first atemp to hook up my fogs so they work while my lows are off turned out to be a failure.... And now I have to order a new relay for my fogs.... There this kid who lives like 5 min away from me from IS300.NET and he had his hooked up, so he tried to help me. And we burnt the relay out... I'm going to order like 5 relays and I'm determind to have my fogs running solo.... Any help would be very much appreciated so I don't waste time and money.... Thanks....

yeah..I'm prety sure I got the right relay and I did everything right..maybe you guys could tell me what went wrong..

I went under the drivers side footwell and there were 2 relays above the fuse box..I took the left one out..started the car..fogs didn't work..then I took the right one out..started the car..fogs worked

I then determined this left relay was for the fogs..I bent one of the spades 90 degrees so it wouldn't be plugged in..then attached 12v wire to it then attached it to the ignition fuse. No luck...radio fuse..no luck..then it stopped working altogether..

I can't believe nobody has done this yet..any suggestions as to what went wrong?

Default technique/procedure

Your idea is basically correct. The way I did it on my 92 LS is I took the cover off of the relay, cut the coil wire away from the high side "lug" and spliced in a wire, routed through a hole in th erelay cover. Connected the wire to the high side of the parking lamp circuit.

Fogs go on with the switch and off automatically like always.

If you seach for "relay" "latch" and "wwest" you'll find a more complex relay circuit.
