Default Dead GS please help

I try to turn my GS on and get a clicking noise like the battery is dead. Well I try it again and the engine almost turn over and then quits. Third time the car finally starts but I have to gas it at the beginning just to keep the car on. I get on the highway later that night and notice when I hit my brakes the headlights dim. I have already took the battery to a local parts store and they said the batt has tested good and is holding charge. Now im totally confused cause I am having this problem every morning Could I have a short in my car some where? What do you think guys? Thanks in advance.

Cool Dude I agree

Hey If the battery checks out OK. The next thing to check would be the alternator Then check the fuses, spark plugs, & the starter. Dude the starter in the GS, I 've heard is in the oil pan so I would get it checked out at the dealer.

Later, Good Luck dude. Let us know Hoe this turned out.

Paul

it has to be the alternator getting weak because as soon as he lets off the gas the RPM lowers causing the alternator to spin slower making less energy causing lights to dim.

the battery is bareley getting i believe 9.6 volts to even turn the engine to start it due to the fact that the alternator is not charging it when the engine is running.

Shouldn't he be getting a warning light on the dash if there's an alternator problem?

Well, took the GS to Sewell and they said they did a load test and the batt, starter, and alternator all checked out good. They said they couldnt find a problem and that the car seemed to start up right away. Well the very next morning after getting the GS back the same problem exist. Now I am stupmed and have no idea what could be wrong.

Make sure you check both connections at the battery. Loose battery cables can wear down a battery and cause it not to charge completely.
