Default GS General Issues and/or things to look out for!?

I'm needing to sell my 08 C6 and get something cheap in cash for the time being as I may be having to move soon and I don't want to have to worry about a car payment until I'm better situated.

I've had 2 lexus SC400s in the past and loved them both. So, naturally I'm considering anything in my $10-12,000 and below range but my favorites that I've found so far are the Lexus SC400/300 97+, GS300/400/430 00+, and possibly an RX.

Main reasons I may prefer the GS and RX over the SC is the fact that most of them seem to come with NAV and are definitely a little more spacious.

My question though is.. can you upgrade the NAV somehow? I'm sure maps are way outdated by now so what are my options for upgrading? Is the NAV any good in these cars? Should I just buy one without a NAV unit and install my own aftermarket? What other issues are common with these cars that I should look out for if and when I buy one? Any help you guys can give me would be much appreciated.

I think it's nicer to get an aftermarket unit with updated maps/visuals. Plus you have the capability to watch movies and do all sorts of neat stuff. I've used OEM navi and although they aren't bad, you can tell it's really dated compared to the stuff they have today. There is a reason why I bought a GS without navi
