Default Stock Height but Thicker Tires

I know that if you put 18s with Low Profile Tires on a GS with Stock height it will Look Funny. However, I was wondering if anyone has put Tires with Thicker Side Walls on a 17 or 18 Inch Rim on a Stock Height GS and made it look Good. I know the general Rule is to have Less Finger Gap than Sidewall. Any Pictures are appreciated. I was just wondering because I was bottoming out last night and I am only dropped an Inch (Eibach Springs).

What tire size are you running and what is the wheel size? What did you bottom out on?

too dark right now I will take a pics and post here tomorrow with the stock 17" IS 300 rims on my GS 300. I increase the size to 225/55/17 instead of 215/45/17. Looks pretty good with the stock height.

That would be great if you could pull it off. You wouldn't have to worry about the potential hassles of dropping it.
Def wanna see some pics.

I've been running 235/55/17 for a long time, no problems and the car looks better than stock in my opinion. The speedo is about 3mph off at 60, but the ride is smoother and less chance of damaging rims when hitting potholes.

The stock size is 235/45/17 for 2GS and 3GS is 225/50/17

Yeah, that's what I meant. Both of those set ups look awesome. And Matador I am running on 19x8.5's right now with 245 35 19 Tires. I am thinking about going for a set up like the one's above. I will buy stock shocks and Bilstein HD's and pair them with 17 Inch GS Stock Rims and a 55 Tire. If I come by the funds I will get the 18 Inch IS Rims for a Sportier Set up during Summer. And Och what kind of Spacing are you running?

Also, does anyone have experience doing the same kind of thing with 18 inch rims?
