This.

Hey RJ. I highly doubt that you will need to replace your cats. Do you have an aftermarket intake? Do you have a CEL? Is your car running differently at all?

What part of AZ you in?

The voicecoils of his newly installed subs are getting hot and starting to burn, this smells like rotten eggs.

I had a similar situation in my 99 maxima. Comes to find out... it was the "heating system" (dont remember the name of it) which is mounted on the firewall under the dashboard which was leaking coolant under the carpet.
So, first thing to do is... to pull the carpet from the driver & passnger side out a lil & check underneath it to see if you have any leaks.

Goodluck!

Cool, I'm in mesa also. Mesa dr. & Mckellips. If you want to hear my system in person PM me, we can meet at a gas station or something.. From the looks of your pics I bet your very close to where I live. I'd like to have a look at your car.

most likely the catalytic converter. just because it is bad does not mean it will necessarily throw a code.
