It only deletes one of the three cats. The sound will increase slightly, nothing significant. As far as gains, i didn't really feel anything when mated to my Tanabe Medalion. Without FI, gs300's are slow no matter what you do!

On a NA 6 cylinder car, I feel like it's more for added sound than anything. I don't think the power gains will justify the cost.

If a $100 pipe actually gave 10-16hp that would be the single most bang for the buck upgrade on the market. Too bad it realistically does not do anything for a stock GS.

I have one and it did make the tone a bit better, but as far as any power you can feel, is does not provide any. It still has a resonator in place of where the 98-00 has a 3rd muffler and 01-05 has a 3rd cat. And the other piping is about the same sizing as the stock pipe.

As with most low cost parts, it did have issues. The O2 sensor bung angles down, which since my car is so low the wire almost touched the ground. the wire or sensor was not going to survive in the location megan put it.

I just used a 90 degree O2 defouler to angle the sensor up out of harms way. Worked fine, and like I mentioned it does make the car sound a bit better.

First pics show how the sensor was and the other pics show with the 90 degree adapter.

I have the Hi-power's also, and they are most likely loud as hell regardless. I am running the stock mufflers at the moment but still with the megan pipe and it does sound better than stock. I never ran just the Hi-powers without the megan pipe so I'm not sure how the difference in sound is with/without the megan on the hi-power.

Although with the Hi-Power, topspeed Y, and the megan this car sounded sick. Totally screams at high rpms, and super deep at idle. I loved the way it sounded, but with a stock motor it's all show and no go. So I have the stock mufflers on right now, and may put the hks back on again once I have a motor to backup the sound unless I sell them before then..

I have the OBX headers and the megan midpipe with resonator delete and the HKS high power exhaust, I cant really tell much of a different power wise, but I can tell you it is freaking LOUD...I can only deal with it when the hks silencers are in, and I'm looking for a quieter exhaust.
On a positive note, it is one of the best sounds I have ever heard at about 5.5-6K rpm
