Default broke something

So I changed my balljoints and tie rods tonight.. When putting the brake caliper back on I noticed that the 14mm screw just kept going even tho my torque wrench was set to 25lb, after a half dozen turns with not really any pressure from me I felt the bolt starting to just spin. I pulled it out and its broken in the middle while still being in one piece lol. Now what? Is this just a bolt problem or a caliper problem/ Can I just pick up a bolt at an Autovalue store for this? Thanks guys and here is what it looks like:

Get another bolt (grade 8 just in case) and hand tighten it (with fingers) and see if it goes in. If it doesnt, probably gonna need to rethread the caliper.

Gotta buy a taper kit like this one:

available at any hardware shop and find matching bolt. Hardware shop should be able to tell you how its done.

One does this by going to the store and asking about a grade 8 bolt with the correct threads.

I keed, I keed!! I'm assuming you mean rethread the caliper. To do this, you need a tap that will cut the metal of the caliper to the right size for a replacement (slightly larger) bolt. I would try to get a grade 8 replacement first, then tap it and thread it if you have to. Caliper bolts are fairly standard parts, so your local parts place should have them. If you get a larger one, make sure you buy the tap at the same time and check it with a nut. Some of the parts places will have them, and hopefully someone who knows how to do it (it's not hard, but definitely helps to have someone explain it with physical parts).

That sucks man. I had to go thru the same thing waiting for the dealer to get the bolt after scouring every hardware store around, wasting my time.

I know you wont, but make sure you dont drive it without the bolt.

Any idea on what the size of this thing is? We dont have an ACE in Canada...

is it this:
47715B 90016AA103
BOLT (FOR FRONT DISC BRAKE CYLINDER SLIDE), *8-1.00PX23-15 4 In Stock $0.80 $0.66 $0.50

and if so wtf does 1.00px23-15 mean?

1.00 is the "pitch" or rather the spacing between each thread. 23-15 is head size and length. (I think)

take the other side bolt off and take it with you and they should be able to match it up for you.

OH, but if you're rethreading, then doesnt matter what the bolt is, you just need to match to the new thread. You only need to make sure its the same length.
