I'm tryin to install the longer stud that I bought. It's an ARP stud for IS300 and it's suppose to work just fine.. I find it hard to install because of the length is makin it hard for me to fit it in between the shroud and the hub.. I was thinkin of cutting the shroud for the drum break but I'm not sure what kind of side effects it's going to have on the break or what i'll break if I do this. I have it circled in the picture on where I want to cut it. What's the purpose of that cover other than preventing dirt from goin in. The break pad doesn't seem to touching it.
I appriciate any input. I'm tryin to get everything done by tom. so any info I get 2 nite would be really helpful
I was gonna do that but im scared ill break something. Is ur stud the 2.6" long 1? Also the hub is pressed in so pullin it out by hand would b impossibe. N e ways, ill try forcing it in. Hopefuly i dont dmg the hub. Wish Me Luck
Ok here's the fix . My lil noggin told me to pull out the good ol dremel. Shortened the studs about 7 threads and rounded the tip and my extended wheel stud fits juss fine. Still long enough to fit 20mm spacer . Soo happi!!
