The function of a charcoal canister is to capture HC when the car is ON, and when the car gets turned off.

I've looked all over underneath the hood to find the vent hose but I must be blind becuase there is no hose thats open! Where is it located?

The purge valve is under the hood. Its the one with the green cap. If you read my previous post, the canister is above the rear differential. The vent hose is the biggest hose that sticks out with an open end. See if its clogged.

Well today the check engine light came back. And this time P0446 and P0441 codes are showing!
So looks like i'll have to look closer into the hoses and the purge valve ! The canister being above the rear diff, doesnt sound easy to get to.
Anyone have this same issue? How long can you drive or is it dangerous to drive with this issue ?

oh might I add... Another reason that can prove that its the canister/solenoid. Is because it goes off and on. IF its getting stuck, its getting stuck open and closed open and closed because its an electronic that is failing, thus the reason why the light goes off and on. As said earlier, I've had this problem for quite a while now, I got it fogged at my buds shop and confirmed that its coming from the canister. As for being dangerous, nope. All thats gonna happen is you're gonna get crappy gas mileage... Again, this is only if it is the canister. You're asking a blind question bro, you still need to get a proper diagnosis before that question can be answered accurately.

its not blinkin like that! its normal for some day and engine light is off! then it shows upp some days after and then goes away again in some few days! They had the car in with the last owner and changed the lambda, Worked good but light keeps coming back! No feeling of the ride is changed, engine runs great, no heating prob. So im guessing its some sort of bad connection oar something.
