Default in need !

my first question is... is it possible for the emergency/parking brake to go bad? if so where is it located.

the reason i think it maybe the parking brake is because I can't get the brake light to go off after replacing the front AND back brakes. I thought maybe bad rotors, scrubbing calipers.. but my dad insist that its the emergency brake or a sensor glitch.. what do you guys think?! I'm trying to trade it in this week so I really need to find out..

The parking brake shoe is seperate from the rear brake pads. Different item. Did you check your brake fluid level and bleed your brakes after you were done? What problems are you having beside the brake light?
