Default Question about Brake

I got a 09 IS350 running about 50k Mile , I just replace my brake pad and i still feeling the brake system delay and tread deeper to Stop the car. There is some Scratch on my front Rotors , is that the problem ? should i need to replace it too ? or the brake Oil making this happen ?

Depends on how deep or wide the "scratches" are. But it sounds to me more like you need to bleed the brakes. If you haven't done that in a couple of years, I think you should replace the brake fluid completely.

If you find that you are having to press harder and further down on the brake pedal, it could very well be an issue with the brake fluid. Brake fluid is absorbs moisture over time, which results in a decrease in stopping performance. So, a flush is needed periodically.

What is causing the minor scratches on the rotor?

Best regards

What color is the brake fluid in your reservoir? If using OEM-type brake fluid, it should be a golden honey color. Darker colors would suggest time for a flush.

Was the braking performance fine BEFORE the brake work?
