Anyone have advice on the proper way to prep one of these? Can I just use bondo to fill the small pin holes? It's polyurethane. Also, what is a reasonable price to get it painted? I'm in socal. Thanks.
will what people do if you have the stock wing is, they take off the stock wing, get the truck spot welded and then repaint the trunk, then just us 3m tape for the wing!! it shold cost 100 - 150 to just paint the wing!! good luck

Nooooooooo... No 3M tape for a 3 piece. The replicas are very heavy (dont know about the real one) 3M wont hold it. Also, I dont recall him asking about the factory wing. He wants to prep the replica which I'm assuming has pinholes in it. What is used at shops is usually the same stuff that is used to put windshields in. A TRUE JP wing comes with their industrial adhesive, but I believe the windshield stuff is much stronger hold

wow, I hear the sarcasm... I'll now try not to be an ***.. If you actually read ANY of the links I sent you, you would have had your answers. 3 of those links give step by step on how to prep urethane, what more do you want? Offended by a little fun with giving help? Fair enough, but the answers were there.
BTW, probably not getting any help due to the fact the questions are in regards to a replica JP spoiler.
Thanks for the info, I just was looking for exact info with this product. That's why I posted this. I know that polyurethane can always vary slightly and quite a few people have this wing. I was looking for tips like mounting, I thought 3m tape would work. Was also wondering if someone could reccommend a shop in socal. I know some may not help becuse it's a replica but what can I do. I'm not spending 8X what I paid for this one to find some e-friends. Thanks for your help though.

For the pinholes do NOT use bondo, use polyester glazing putty, but use the one that requires harderner/catalyst. For paint look around, I know it depends on your color but from $100 to $200 if you want quality. If your car is diamond white pearl I'll help you out since I'm local.
