So, it was time to change plugs/timing belt/etc on the GS300... I had a buddy there to document. I pop off the engine cover... and I find this. It's a first for me... that's for sure.

Its probably a rat or squirrel nest. I don't think birds will climb in there like that. You should inspect all your under hood wiring and make sure they were not munching on any of it.

At least they picked a nice warm place to nest. Did you check you intake air box for nuts? Squirrels like to use that for storage too.

Crazy. Had a rats nest in the carb of a '56 Caddy. No wonder the dang thing wouldn't run.

Here's the important question; how much hp did that add? Does the car feel slower after you removed it?
