Please tell me what some of you think you are getting when you buy an E.C.U. unit from some of these companies.

I would also like to know what results after install.

Apexi SAFC You can adjust air fuel ratio, Idle,... this helps if you have mods that effect the engine. ie. exhaust, intake,NOS, Supercharger.......

Ecu's that are packaged with an item such as the SRT from Swift change the fuel ratio to work with their intake only, without taking into consideration other mods that may have been done to your car.

Then there are piggy back units that can also change timing along with the fuel and air ratio.

And ofcourse there are stand alone computer set-ups to change everything you can think of on the fly. (your whole Map) $$$

your stock ECU is just that STOCK. It is set up for the car STOCK and sometimes it isn't set up for pure performance.
Good Luck

The SRT ECU is a Piggyback too! I was told that no-one has been able to break threw the stock ECU yet. And that Piggyback ones are the only ones avaible. Maybe someone with a little more info could help out!

All the ones mentioned are piggy back. Connected into the wireing of the ECU. However some are progamable and some are not.
