Default My new GS430

After about a year of looking, I finally found just exactly what I wanted: a 2-owner 2003 GS430 Millenium Silver Metallic with Light Charcoal interior, a clean CarFax/AutoCheck, and complete maintenance records at Lexus back to the first service.

Huge thanks to Straight6 and his brother for hooking me up on the rear brakes and Iridium plugs -- at this point, the GS is completely up-to-date on maintenance, including fluid changes, cabin air filters, and a new K&N air filter.

The car has every option offered that year: 17-inch chromes, ML audio, rear spoiler, Nav, wood wheel and cd changer. The previous owners added a whole new meaning to the word "meticulous": this car was garaged and detailed frequently -- and I do mean frequently. They even left the dealer-installed plastic on the carpets, as well as the plastic over the Lexus script on the sill plates. I thought I took detailing to an extreme, but these two are apparently just as sick.....haha!

My two kids in college are killing my mods budget, so for now, it's probably going to be rolling stock.

Here are a few pics:

Gorgeous car! Excellent choice on the exterior and interior color combo I must add. Congrats.

On a side note I think that wood wheel is too much and ruins the look. You should trade me for my leather one.

Thanks for the comments guys!

4litre -- it does pay to be patient, but with so few GS430's for sale at any given time, it can be tough. I probably called 25 430's in that span, but only went to look at about 15 of them. In a way, I'm glad to be done with the search!

Debonair -- glad you like the exterior color....haha! If I had an extra wood wheel, I'd send it your way. Wasn't sure how I would like it at first, but now I really enjoy both the look and the feel of the wheel.

I gotta admit, Chumacher, after detailing a LOT of cars over the last 25 years, I truly can appreciate how easy it is to maintain silver paint! Very tempted by a black GS430, but after having lived through my wife's black Suburban -- and its' 3 acres of black paint -- I decided to opt for silver.
