Can someone please help me locate the standard jack points for the 2001 GS300.

The owners manual is not that clear.

Also can you use a trolley jack off the rear differential to get both rear wheels into the air?

I place the jack about two feet from the very front of the frame in front of the car. Then put the jack stands right before where the frame bends up into the car. Then for the back i put the jack in the middle of the car then place the jack stands on the little round metal plate right in front of the wheel behind the side skirts. Its kinda hard to explain, BUT! Do not put the jack stand anywhere you'd like, SCARY things will happen!!

 

just go outside, bend down and look man......easier to do that then make this post.....

 

you can jack the rear by the tow hook just left of the right exhaust sir..

 

Seriously can someone take pics and circle the proper jack points? This is an important question, and honestly I don't totally understand what the correct jack points are.

 

If you look under the car you can clearly see the jack points.

If you want to lift both rears at the same time you can lift it from the diff.
You can also lift it from the tow hooks in the front or rear, but not recommended unless you have to as it causes flex in the body. But the actual jack points are located on both sides of the car close to the front and the rear. But seriously just look under the car, its not hard to spot them out.

 

This car is a pain in the but to to lift and stand. If you are looking to lift the car, it's on the side of the car running parallel (front to back), you will see two groves about 4 to 5 inches apart, put you jack between those two groove. Then put your stand on one of those metal parts...lol, choose wisely.

4 on each side skirt area
2 on the front
2 in the rear.

 

if u can't find the jack points, u shouldn't jack up your car

 

because you will jack up your car :]

 

you need to place the jack right below the oil pan for the front. sometimes its difficult to get to so i would recommend right under the tranny, on the pan. theses two jack points are the strongest parts of the car.

for the rear the trunk/spare wheel well will do. dont be afraid to put force into the jack, may seem wobbly at first but it will go away.
