Thumbs up 90k service

I just did the 90k service and man, I have never thought my car would feel this strong, it just feels alot diffrent than it used too, Im breaking my tires loose ( without a TC ) from a dead stop with no problems, and it just pulls alot harder than it used to

Thumbs up

Outstanding. I wonder what adjustments augmented your performance? Cool, nonetheless.

Really!!! Thats good, because I'm about to hit 90K on my GS and getting the service done at SRT instead of the Dealer! Do you have a list of everything they did for that particular service.

thanks

Default Firmware

They may have upgraded his engine and/or tranx ecu firmware, in which case they will never admit it.

Thats about the price they quote me too! If your close to SRT I would give Mo a call. I know he does not charge nowhere near that price! But he also might not do everything they do. So make a quick summary of what they did, so I can compare it to what SRT will do!

Cool

I just got my cd's from ebay which contain all the service manuals from 1983-2000 and this is what they listed for a 90k service...

90,000 Mile (144,000 km) Service

Service or Inspect

Verify Last Major Service was Performed
Check fluid levels
Check cooling system hoses and clamps
Check coolant strength
Inspect/Adjust accessory drive belts (replace if required)
Check exhaust system & heat shielding
Clean battery and battery terminals
Inspect fuel/tank/cap/lines
Check operation of horn, wipers/washers, & all exterior lights
Inspect condition of wiper blades
Check headlight alignment
Check seat belt webbing and release mechanisms
Check parking brake operation
Check shift interlock operation
Inspect C/V joint boots
Inspect brake system
Brake discs, pads, & calipers (front and rear)
Brake line pipes and hoses
Parking brake
Lubricate chassis
Suspension mounting bolts
Front wheel alignment
Inspect steering linkage/front suspension
Steering operation, tie rods, gear box, and boots
Power steering system
Ball joint & dust covers
Bolts & Nuts on chassis & body
Lubricate Weatherstripping with silicone
Lubricate door hinges
Lubricate door locks
Check body drain holes
Body inspection (paint, corrosion)
Rotate tires and adjust air pressure
Road test

Replace

Engine oil
Oil filter
Air filter element
Transmission fluid
Differential Oil
Drain, Refill and Bleed brake system

Service Labor Times

GS300 2.7 hours
(add 1.3 hours to replace transmission and differential oil)

Please keep in mind that this was for a 1994 GS300. Looking at the 1998 GS300 maintenance schedule, it's pretty similar. Hope this helps

wwest I did it at lexus of fife in tacoma, I know that they didnt screw me over since the guy I handed my keys to is a good freind of mine and actually let alot of things slide before ( replaced my computer, TPS, and throttle body at 75,000 miles for free and my warrenty expired at 50k miles )

by the way I live in federal way, if you ever want to try out that dealer ship, whenever you go to the service department just ask for brian winters, VERY nice guy
