I would suggest checking your LBJ and the tie rods first...then check to see if the pistons in the calipers are seized or not....if one is seized...and the is working properly, that may cause the shaking.
I assume you have quality rotors...some cheap ones may be warped a bit.
Also, check if you mounted your wheels and torqued the lugs properly.
If you only get vibrations when applying the brakes, it's most likely the brakes and not some suspension parts.
Check for black "spots" on your brake rotors. Those spots is steel that turned into cementite due to very high temperature and the rotor starts wearing unevenly (cementite doesn't wear off). This is not quite the same as warping.
Well, I found the culprit and I feel like an *** for bothering u guys.
It was a bad rear rotor with grooves in the pads.
I had a mechanic do my upper ctl arms and bushings a while ago, and he put rear pads in so I didn't think about the rotors too much. They were pretty smooth for a while but I let em go too long.
Never again will that guy touch my car.
Me and my boy did my rear pads, rotors and serpintine belt today and it took an hour to do everything.
Shaking, noise gone!
I was ignorant. Don't hold it against me.LOL.
Thanks for all the replies all u CL'ers. Don't know what I'd do without ya.
