New 99 GS400 owner!!
Just wanted to introduce myself. A couple weeks ago I purchased a GS400 ,silver with black interior, and it only had 44k! It had 2 previous owners, clean title and carfax. I've just started doing all the preventive maintenance such as new serpentine belt (had small cracks), changing the filters out, switching to synthetic, new brake pad front and back (they were getting low). Got tint put on, eventually going to change the deck (has an old school Alpine deck lol), either change the rotors or machine them (get some vibration on braking), and later change out stock 16 wheels for 19 MRR HR2 with TEIN coilovers. The car has little quirks like everyone describes here, whirring sound on startup and occasionally on braking (apparently that's just the break booster), had a gurgling sound on acceleration (was air in the coolant, fixed now thanks to the help on the forum), little bit of rattle from the sunroof (haven't fixed it with foam yet), and the actuators being finicky (I'll wait to fix them but great guides on here). Love the car and all the help on the forum!
