I drive in the winter and I have a Viper alarm/remote start. I wanted the remote start mainly for the winter but I use it during the hottest summer days. Although my windows are tinted very dark and I use a sunshield, the car still feels hot to me.

Yes this is very true. I swear that it drains the battery quicker than the batteries in my cable box remote.

That's what I have! Works well. I think it took me only 3 hours to install a few years ago.

You might be able to pick up one for about $180 to $200... Try one of your local electronic shops. I got mine for $300 installed, and thats a few years aback... Yeah the battery life isnt that great... change every month I would say... AAA's are cheap!

Compustar. Have been using their systems for nearly 10 years in all the cars. Love them. The new one on the GS has a bigger remote, and uses AA battery. Only thing that bothers me is it kills the bat every month. I have a little pack of batteries in the car though.

Depends if that feature can be added on to that system. Also, extra components will be required.

Question - can you setup your alarm to be controlled ARM\DISARM via factory key fob?

Reason - I do not plan to carry the key fob with me at all times.... and i want my car to make sum noise if some1 bust my windows...
