Got this STB from a fellow CL member (thanks Kevin) this past December. I was looking for a solid one piece STB for the car to provide some sort of help with the body roll I tend to experience. I took some cues from past & present 1GS & 2GS members to dress up my STB and added my personal touch to it prior to installation. I polished the hell out of the entire bar and then used some leftover black caliper paint. I finished off the ends by spraying clearcoat on them. For the install I used my stock scissor jack to lift my car high enough to slide my regular jack under to the crossmembers to finish raising the car. For this particular STB, the engine cover needed to be removed but I managed to keep the cover on and man was that a mistake. I really liked the look of my engine cover on with the STB but it simply couldn't be done. I ended up with crazy amounts of vibrations which was unbearable. I ended up removing the cover and saw scrapes on top of the cover left by the STB. There's nothing amazing about my engine bay since it's pure stock with the exception of the STB now. Next item will be sway bars.

personally I would have chosen a a matte or semi-gloss finish. With the high gloss it just stands out too much as its the only thing that shiny under the hood. But it still looks good. I didn't know you can still keep the engine cover with the JDM tower bar

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm gonna keep the sticker because it's under the hood and not noticeable. I don't have the intentions of leaving my hood up when I go to meets and such. This add on was primarily to help with body roll. I used clearcoat from Duplicolor which was bought separate from the color caliper kit that they sell. I still have my winter wheel setup on but I'm able to take a highway exit ramp at 40mph as oppose to about 30mph because of the body roll. Sometime this week I'll be putting back on my spring/summer wheels & tires and prolly will be able to go above 40. This is just phase one of my plans to improve the car's handling.
