Hello everyone. I'm new to this site. Although there are many helpful tips here. I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I recently got into a little accident that lead to busted headlights. My previous set was stock hid headlights. I just recently purchased non hid headlights, due to funds being low. My question is, what is needed to downgrade from stock hid to stock non hid lamps? Also, there are wires that's connecting from the auto leveler's set of wires to the headlights. Do I just cut that piece off to get the hid headlights off. It also has like a white plug that is by itself. Thanks in advance

if i'd were you to be you... and my best case scenario.

assuming all your ballast is OK and cosmetic damage only, then you'll need some 9006 kit bulbs to the new housing.

I am not sure... but i do not think the auto-leveling lamps can be transfered... cuz why auto-level halogen?

anyway, best thing is to re-use your ballast and use kit bulbs to interface your lamps.

I got a few sets of the rebased Philips D2R and they have lasted me couple years on my first set.

Goodluck...

Thanks for the quick replies, but I actually changing out the whole headlight housing. I'm switching from oem hid housing to oem non hid. I have all the bulbs for the non hid housing. Now my question is, what is needed to do the replacement? Do I have to modify wires? Also, there's a set of wires that connect from the auto leveler motor to the oem hid housing, it has like a white plug that connects to nothing. Do I just cut that off? Help please

This can be done.. but not quite recommended...

Look for the ballast power wires... connect some 9006 plugs on it.. both sides.. and call it a day.

Best is to run a new harness for the 9006 bulbs.

Now where are the ballast wires coming from? I see the ballast but I still don't see where the wires are coming from. keep in mind that I'm now using the oem non hid headlights housing. So, there will be no ballast on the non hid oem headlights I'm installing. I just need to know where to connect the 9006 bulbs to. Where do I connect the new harness to?

when disconnected the auto levelers will set off a warning light on your dash. its a little light almost like when you blow a tail light bulb. You can still drive, without it being a problem. you might be able to remove the bulb and call it a day.
As far as the bulbs, your gonna need a pigtail connector from 9006 to your OEM harness.

the OEM set up uses 2ds bulbs so the ballast and plug wont work, your better off getting some 9006 HID kit on ebay and just cut the 9006 pigtail and use the Pos and Neg wires to tie into the OEM plug (the one that plugs into the OEM ballast)
