GS430 M Mode?
just curious...
would it be feasible to put a steering wheel from an 01+ gs3 (has shift buttons) on a gs430 (doesnt have buttons) and then swap out the transmission ecu's? or is there a better way to give the gs430 a semi auto mode? or should i be thrown in the insane asylum for posting this?
haha
the reason that i ask is i have a gs3 and am considering upgrading to the gs430 but would really miss the shift buttons
any advice?

I know what you mean driving with e shift makes it a whole different experience, you can really feel the power that the car has. on the side are you not considering a Gs 400 it has the buttons you seek but i have seen somewhere 430's with the e-shift on them.

Or just turbo the GS3 and you have have more power and still keep e-shift
But to answer your question, these cars don't have a separate transmission ECU. The engine ecu controls the whole entire powertrain including engine and trans. So in short, no you can't just switch out the trans ecu's.

That's exactly my dilemma. I know that these cars will last forever but I would rather not get one with high miles because I know how others treat their cars.
