01+ amber tail removal
I've read it's harder than 98-01 tails but is the DIY the same?

You can't do it. so don't even try, but you can buy the 1,500 Junction produce taillights. If that's what you're looking for.

I don't believe it's possible, but some members are trying to figure out a way to swap the clear thin strip led tail light lens to the 01+ OEM tails.
There are threads on here somewhere, just search for them. It should pop right up.

Thin Clear Strip LED Tail Lights
If you want the inners, you can find them for like around $70.
