Default DIY clear tail light 01+

I've been trying to do a search on DIY clear tail lights for 01 tail lights but all that comes up is for the 98-00. Has anyone ever tried to do this. is it possible to remove the amber off the 01 tail lights. I understand it might not be as easy as the 98-00 but I just need to know if its even possible. if the amber is a spereate peice... thanks

no, the amber in the 01+ tails is part of the actual lens assembly, thus why you havent been able to find a writeup, because it cant be done. Just save yourself the aggrivation and grab a set of LED tails with clear lower section for like 200 bucks on ebay, light output will be better and you get your clear lower piece

I can't be baller like you Dave... I got champagne dreams on a beer budget.. I can't afford to have a Junction Gs and still have money to buy a LS430. But back on topic.. thanks for the info guys.. I'll just bite the bullet and get the Wise sports ones..

I had a set of these tails that came on the GS4 that i bought but the problem is that they run every LED on one bulb plug. The wire will get so hot that it will start melting the plastic bulb plug and could start a fire. I got in my car one day to pull it out of the garage to wash it and nothing but smoke was rolling out the back of the driver's side taillight. Could have potentially burnt the car and my house down. I'm glade it was not moving when it happened. If you were driving down the highway and couldn't see the smoke you could burn the whole backside of your car before you even notice somethings wrong. STAY AWAY FROM JP EBAY KNOCK OFF TAILS... rant over... haha

needless to say i bought stock 01+ tails and enjoy the look of them.
