Obviously not good news when another quality part will become more difficult to find.

However, and I know nothing about how all this stuff works so I may be off base, but couldn't someone with connections over there step in and start importing them? Even if TTE isn't exporting directly I would think some business would import them if there's enough money in it for them.

TTE lip is the most overrated and overprice item on CL imo. This isnt the 80's a simple email and you can have anything in this world all long as you got bread.

S&S didnt die out because of the gs they died out to due guy going outta busineed and they did more business for toyota trucks than the lexus as far as i can remember. although i am curious why the TTE thing is going on.
