Unhappy ATF type T IV

Alright, so today I call Champion Toyota in Austin to make sure they have the ATF in stock, the parts guys quotes me $9.32/qrt. I was like damn let me call Lexus of Austin, they said the qrt of type T IV is $4.89. WTH? Is this normal? I was hoping to stop at Toyota because its on my way home, but this don't make sense. All I need it two quarts for the tranny drain and fill.

It's weird I know. Last time I bought ATF from my local lexus dealer for $6.00 a quart. I was 4 quart short (for a full flush) so I came back the next day and all of the sudden the price jacked up to $12/bottle. I told them I was just there yesterday and paid only $6/bottle, but he told me the best he can do is $6.50 and that was wholesales price. Funny...I didn't know Lexus dealers had to pay more for the same thing that's sold at Toyota.

Doesn't matter, I now get mine way cheaper so I bought plenty of bottles just in case

Toyota usually sells it a whole lot cheaper. Shop around, but $4/qt is pretty good. I bought 8 for $9 a pop before I found out that Toyota carried it for cheaper.
