DUDE i found these vids on youtube when i was pondering on changing my timing belt myself last week and what was involved. Jeff is great and very detailed in these clips. It looks waay over my head and he is doing it on a pulled motor which makes his work even easier to understand. Sit on yor couch and watch these they will let you know all the names of the parts and tools you will need to use on your engine. GL and let us know how it turns out.

no, the front pinion seal is an actual 'gasket' so to speak...you should be able to buy it.


TIP: When looking for parts for your car...don't be afraid to check with a toyota dealership. Lots of times they'll have stuff that the lexus dealer won't carry, and at a better price surprisingly enough.

Where is video #6 for the front crankshaft main oil seal??? by the way thanks the video is Great i will do this but i still don't understand the degrees of the camshafts so as long as both the lines on the cam gears are both pointed upwards then everything is OK ? no matter how many times you have turned the gears as long as they line up everything should be OK ?

i will do this right away and i learned a lesson if you really wanna make sure the engine workin good DO IT YOURSELF no more shops well as for me that is because i have nobody i can go to for info or help in NY queens as soon as you see a lexus owner out here and ask him something He will charge u
