I wouldn't pay that price for that, might as well save up for a aftermarket head unit.

I have been considering the Grom Audio version. A much better price.

I have to disagree with you on soooo many levels. He would need a) A new Deck, b) dash kit, c) non-navi HVAC controls ( If Noaferatu has Navi), d) and an install. With a budget iPod/iPhone capable non-navi deck this will run at least $350.00. It will not look factory. And it will invite people to break the window and take it. So at sub $200 I think it has advantages. The Grom kit is only $90 so thats even better.

Just something to think about.

I was considering the grom for my gf's RX330, but discovered it only plays the first 99 songs of the first 5 playlists and doesn't display the song title on the factory screen. I would suggest the DICE ipod kit for $140. It's pretty much the same as the VAIS kit but $120 cheaper.

My friend is hardwiring an iPod into my '98. Unfortunately I can't use the Vaistech kit since mine is pre-'01. All it's costing me is about ~$25 ($8 for relays and $16 for the iPod aux charging dock). He has the rest of the smaller materials like wires, male/female connectors, etc.

Hey Nosferatu2, let me know if you are still considering to purchase the USA spec ipod interface. I can get it for you a lot cheaper directly from USA Spec
