Default 280ps

shftup, they don't sell a GS400 in Japan. Their top of line Aristo(V300) is a 3.0l VVT-I Twin Turbo I-6.

Also along with the 276hp it has 318lb-ft. It comes with a 4spd auto transmission(drivetrain lifted from the JDM Supra TT). IMO the 280ps is a little underrated as they must comply with the gentleman's agreement(280ps max). I think power is more along the lines of 315hp or more. They definitely underrated the supra at 320hp because the majority of Supra TT's dyno at 281-299RWHP which definitely puts it above 320(more like 331+) .

so If i was to buy a gs300 and put in a 2jzgte engine, it would fit in easily? What about the getrag 6 speed tranny? The Aristo is just a gs300 but non turbo'd right?

Yes it would definitely fit, you would basically have yourself a U.S. spec V300. Lot's of people in Japan throw in the Getrag 6-speed from the Supra into their V300's so that would also work. The Aristo S300 is the Japanese version of the GS300.

Oh I see, i am gonna sell my supra and buy a gs300 i believe....soon enough i will put in a 2jzgte i think, even use stock twins for the time being and push 400rwhp...if you were to turbo the 2jzge engine you'd get like 400rwhp and it would cost the same amount it would be to put in a 2jzgte + 6 speed....what else would you have to change for it to fit? driveshaft? lsd? etc, etc? Are there any high dyno or fast 1/4 mile time'd gs300s in the US? Can you import a Aristo to the US? I know like skylines and stuff are really hard to import, what about Aristos?

Peace
Dave

There are a bunch of people in the U.S. with high hp Turbo GS300's. Some with the JZS-147 & some with the 2nd gen. The ones I know of are located in Ft. Lauderdale & Miami. There is one guy in Miami with a 550hp Toyomoto turboed MKII GS300. Also there is a member on CL(v300) who has I believe around 550hp on his car as well. I will PM you with exactly what would need to go into the 2JZ-GE if you were to turbo it.

Question

What is the/a Getrag transmission? Is it a type of tranmission or a brand or what?

Getrag is just a company that makes transmissions(for many years now).
