Default Throttle control motor repair

There was a previous post back in February of 2008 from az-dave. Can anyone tell me exactly how to check the wiring plug on the Throttle control motor to determin if it is in fact bad. I have a P1128 code but do not want to start repolacing a bunch of parts before I test them. I would like to circuit tect all of the throttle related components but am not sure which wires will give me the correct read.

1998 gs300 with 190,000 miles. runs great otherwise.

Any help would be great, Thanks.
