If so, which brand or shape would be good? Where on the mirror would be best to mount and would give a good whole view for the blind spot mirror and the the mirror itself? Thanks for the help!
Yup! on both sides! Mostly because my curtains make it worse on both sides
On the lower outside of the mirror is where its recommended to have it at. People dont like them, but my eyes are usually focused on them all the time now so um, yea
Where did you get yours? Are they round or square? When you said lower outside as in the bottom right? Thanks
I didnt get anything special, its just a mirror IMO, I dont care what a company tries to say LoL I just got a set from Kragen. Lower outside of driver mirror is bottom left, passenger side is bottom right, but I dont think theres a blind spot on the passenger side since you can look over your shoulder.
NO WAY! 1.25 is perfect. all you need to see is the shadow of whats there. the 3" is just too huge! (thats what she said) it will look horrible! and is over kill. 1.25 is perfect.
I have them on both sides just as the Jokster says. Lower outside. My son has them on the upper outside and I don't like the upper position as well. I feel you see more with them in the lower position as the upper corner of your mirror looks further down the road.
The reason why I figure I needed one is because the Lexus mirrors they got the objects looking BIG. So I would make the mirror go out further so I would see the next lane. But by doing that, I couldn't see the cars that are approaching from behind that is next to me.
A little short story. Before I had a Legend Sedan. The mirror would show the object small and I would be able to see 2 lanes over (which I'm used to now). So when I have the urge to change lanes, I could change lanes with confident that I won't hit no one. Now having the Lexus, I'm not used to the larger objects in the mirror which kills the wider range in view.
I just got the 2" round ones from Kragen. I decided to put them on the lower inside and adjust the mirrors out more so I would be able to see a wider range. And the little mirrors would help me see cars that are next to my butt and also would aid in parking.
in any event, IMO, they're beneficial and help more than hurt so I support them It wasnt until I drove a huge rig that I found the use of them and applied it to driving a regular car. I Love them
