Pics: GS400 before & after
Some of you may remember me posting about a month ago regarding brake upgrades for a '00 GS400. I'm pleased to report that I have completed the upgrade, and consider it a complete success. Many thanks go to Steve Ganz of Carson Toyota and Dennis of Wheel Kinetics for their invaluable advice in wheel, tire, and brake part selection.

To anticipate your question, yes, it now needs to be lowered a bit
We have L-tuned springs and shocks on order, and I'll post final pictures once they arrive and are installed.

Good question. It's just a visual trick -- the fender gap's the same either way, but there's so much more [black] sidewall on the stock tires that you don't notice the [black] fender gap. With the 18" wheels and low-profile tires, you see: big silver wheel, little black sidewall, BIG black fender gap
Lowering the car an inch will put things back into proportion.
